Qing Dynasty Taoist Dignitary Statue, Gilded Wood, 18th Century. Carved wooden altar sculpture, adorned with polychrome paint and gilded details in relief. The statue holds a Ru Yi (scepter) on its right arm and a boat-shaped ingot (Sycee) in its left hand. Height: 26 cm. Base: 15 cm x 12.5 cm. The statue has some natural cracks in the wood. The lacquer, glass beads on the crown, and gold leaf gilding are missing in places. The facial hair is absent.
