Suite of three brocaded silk and lampas altar fronts, richly adorned with liturgical and vegetal motifs in an elegant, 18th-century-inspired rocaille décor.
The panels feature a radiant central medallion framed by broad scrolls, blooming roses and bunches of grapes symbolizing the Eucharist.Each panel features a radiating central medallion framed by broad foliage, blooming roses and bunches of grapes symbolizing the Eucharist. The sacred compositions differ from one textile to another:
- the radiant triangle bearing the sacred tetragrammaton
- the mystical pelican feeding its young, symbolizing Christ's sacrifice,
- the Pascal Lamb resting on the Book with the seven seals.
Fine weaving combining shades of gold, powder pink, green and violet.
The borders are highlighted with a substantial metallic gold fringe.
Very fine liturgical set dating from the mid-19th century, intended to adorn altars during major religious festivals.
