Adorable christening bonnet in Louis XV period fabric, dated and captioned. Made of 18th century brocaded silk, decorated with multi-colored flowers and silver metallic threads. Embellished with a ribbon of metallic threads. Interior in fine hemp canvas. Probably a nun's work made with reused pieces. It bears an original handwritten label indicating the provenance: the name of the child, baptized in 1762, Count of Broqua, as well as the name of his godfather and godmother. Good general condition. I thank the gallery A l'atelier des textiles anciens for its kind help in developing the description. Please note: a beautiful collector's item with a precise and very interesting origin. I leave it to enthusiasts to refine the research on the origins of the family. I offer the presentation support to the purchaser. Delivery: €10 for mainland France.
