"Last Judgment" religious painting, folk art, early XIX.century

Description:

Old religious painting depicting the Last Judgment. At the top, Christ is depicted as a judge, surrounded by groups of people in heaven. At the bottom, an angel separates the elect (left) from the damned (right), who are being led to hell.

On the clouds are two inscriptions in old German script:

• "Kommet zu mir, ihr Gebenedeiten, in das ewige Reich"
  → "Come to me, you blessed ones, in the eternal kingdom"
• " Gehet hin, ihr Vermaledeiten, in das ewige Feuer"
  → "Go away, you cursed ones, into the eternal fire"

These texts refer to the Bible (Matthew 25).
