Beautiful pair of Neo-Renaissance - Neo-Louis XIII style chairs in solid walnut.
Each chair rests on two twisted front legs featuring attractive carving work at their ends.
The two rear legs are square-sectioned.
The set is linked by two crossbars also square-sectioned and a moving front crotch crosspiece richly decorated with an attractive central cartouche containing the profile of a soldier à l'Antique.
The backrests are high and straight, the upper part is covered with a beautiful fabric and surmounted by a highly sculpted pediment.
The uprights are finished with grotesque faces.
The upholstery, as well as the covering fabric, were redone fairly recently by the previous owner and are in very good condition.
Very nice work from the late 19th century, early 20th century.
