Louis XIII–louis XIV Chair In Walnut, With A High Back And Steeply Raked Backrest, 17th Century
A very rare and exceptional Louis XIII high-back chair made of solid walnut
The seat rests on two front legs turned into balusters and two rear legs that are sharply angled, with a square cross-section and beveled edges, giving it great stability.
These four legs are connected by an H-shaped baluster-turned brace, as is the high crossbar at the front.
The backrest is very tall and steeply sloped, providing great comfort.
The seat is in very good condition and comfortable, though there is some wear on the front of the seat. Studded finish.
This chair model is very rare due to its proportions and the exceptional angle of its backrest (a 26 cm slope!!!), as well as the steep angle of the rear legs.
Dimensions:
backrest height: 111 cm
seat height: 46 cm
total depth: 62 cm
seat depth: 35 cm
width: 48 cm
