Count Charles Ferdinand de Condamy was born in Gamaches, Somme, in 1847. He received the classical education of a young aristocrat.
Initiated at an early age to the fine arts, he later became a pupil of the painter Barrias. Gifted with a gift for observation and a taste for depicting movement, he devoted himself to a spontaneous style, and to the representation of his passions: hunting, horses and dogs.
Owner, between 1875 and 1897, of a crew, "Le Rallye Picard", he was also lieutenant of venererie in Amiens.
His talent was widely recognized and much appreciated by the European aristocracy.
