Bowl On A Pedestal With Multiple Precious Wood Species, France 1960-1980

Cup on pedestal with multiple wood species. France between 1960-1980. Near-perfect condition, a clean re-stick made to the base (see photo).
Annotated on the underside "889 pieces" (!!), the center piece of the tray being the odd piece. Extremely complex! Absolutely precious! I'm still in awe of the quality of this mid-century-looking object...

Technique:

End pieces hand-assembled in a block, then turned (concentric circles on the underside, central hole for fastening). Each piece is then cut to shape, trimmed and glued individually. Once the block is complete, the lathe work can begin. The result is a regular mosaic effect, with bewitchingly repetitive polygonal patterns, albeit with micro-shifts in the fillets that "betray" the human hand. Clean, precise and masterful finishing: clearly the work of an expert.

Non-exhaustive list of species present:

Ebony, boxwood, maple, rosewood, mahogany, walnut, beech, oak, olive, stained pear (or padouk).... The list goes on, and the combination of all these species in a single object seems unreal. Keep in mind that before producing such an object, the material must already be collected!

I am not an expert in woodworking, nor a master journeyman, so I am open to any information related to the wood species present on this superb bowl.
