Italian 17th-century Finely Carved Lacquer And Gold Frame
Beautiful 17th-century lacquer and gold frame. Frames of this type were produced in central Italy during the 17th century; in fact, the loaf-shaped design harks back to the charm of 16th-century prototypes. The frame features a beautiful entanglement decoration, terminating in plant motifs at the corners, finely engraved across the entire gilded surface.
The piece has not undergone any intervention and retains its original lacquer and pure gold.
Its external dimensions are 60 x 70 cm (23.6 x 27.6 in). Internal dimensions are 41 x 52 cm (16.5 x 21.6 in).
Insured shipping is at the customer's expense; we will personally handle the professional packaging.
We include a certificate of authenticity with the sale.
