Wrought iron "Mempo" samurai half-mask lacquered in matte cinnabar red.
Pronounced chin, mobile nose, large black horsehair moustache, pierced nostrils, red lacquered upper lip, visible upper and lower teeth, sweat hole under chin.
Red lacquered interior (the color red was meant to inspire courage and hide blood).
"Yodare-kake" (Gorgerin) five-step wrought iron gloss black lacquered and midnight blue silk braid, the reverse gloss black lacquered.
