JAPAN - Edo Period (1603-1868). Samurai Wakizashi. FUSHI and KASHIRA in a set, carved and molded blond horn (very minor losses). TSUKA in ringed wood, lacquered black. MENUKI in chased and gilded copper depicting a coiled dragon. KOZUKA in a single piece of patinated metal decorated with floral motifs. TSUBA maru-gata in wrought iron, openwork and chased, depicting a geometric shape inscribed within a disc. SAYA in wood and glossy black lacquer. Simple HABAKI in textured copper. Straight blade, regular hamon, straight and well-defined, tang with one hole, unsigned. Sold with stand. Dimensions: 7 x 77 x 7 cm. Blade length including tang: 67 cm.
