A delightful gilt bronze clock depicting an antique chariot with a lion's head,
drawn by a pair of galloping horses,
driven by a young cupid with a torch.
The skeleton movement is set within the openwork wheel.
The quadrangular base is adorned with a foliate frieze.
The bronze is very finely chased and gilded, a magnificent piece of craftsmanship.
The mercury gilding is in very good condition, with a subtle interplay of matte and burnished tones.
In perfect working order, striking the hours and half-hours.
Complete original movement with wire suspension.
With its pendulum, brass bell, and key.
