Pair Of Large Antique-style Patinated Bronze Candlesticks, Maison Barbedienne, Paris, 19th Century.
Pair of large antique-style bronze candlesticks with a medal patina. A beautiful tripod model crafted in the style of ancient Roman torchères: deer-hoof feet, vine decoration on the base and socket, and a slightly tapered and fluted column. Their quality of execution and superb original patina allow us to attribute their creation to the renowned Barbedienne foundry, active in Paris during the second half of the 19th century and famous for producing such antique-style pieces. Parisian work from the second half of the 19th century. Note: Shipping within France is possible via Colissimo with tracking and signature confirmation: €30. Other destinations upon request.
