A pair of large LXV-period candelabra, each with two lights, made of silver-plated metal.
Modeled after the exquisite and rare design created in the mid-18th century by silversmith François-Thomas Germain for the royal residences, this pair of candelabra rests on a wide, molded base with scantlings supporting a baluster shaft featuring a set of twisted ribs. The candle arms are removable and feature molded cups that echo the design of the base of the candelabra.
French craftsmanship, likely from Parisian workshops, presented in its original silver plating in very fine condition (some wear on the reliefs consistent with the candelabras’ age), no restoration.
A very beautiful pair of candelabras in a rare and refined style, ideal for complementing an 18th-century interior.
