Covered cup in gilded bronze treated in the Antique style with foliage decoration and handle depicting a heron. Beautiful model inspired by the pieces of the Roman goldsmith treasures of Hildesheim and Boscoreale discovered in the second half of the 19th century. Although not marked, this cup, by the quality of the chiseling and patina work could be attributed to the Barbedienne foundry workshops, very active in France at the end of the 19th century for the edition of such pieces.
