Oval Mirror In Stucco And Gilded Wood, Napoleon III Period, Louis XVI Style
Oval Louis XVI style mirror in giltwood and stucco, from the Napoleon III period. This hanging mirror features rich ornamentation of scrolls, acanthus leaves, and cascading foliage, surmounted by an antique-style vase filled with flowers at the top of the pediment. The mirror is beveled and shows some minor oxidation (see photo 11). The piece is in very good condition overall, with some minor wear and restoration to the decoration.
