Important, rare and superb Louis XIV or Renaissance style ridge tile, openwork terracotta depicting a satyre orgrotesque mask framed by curved scrolls.
In perfect condition, with traces of limescale and moss from previous use on a roof. The semi-circular shape of the base was made to fit onto one end of a roof ridge.
Dimensions:
48cm heigth, 57cm length, and 27cm width.
