Gilt bronze hilt. Single-branch guard. Rectangular crossguard decorated with an antique helmet against a military trophy background. The lower part of the crossguard is simply decorated with a palmette. Curved quillon ending in a lion's head. Square-section guard branch ending in a palmette at the top. Short-tailed pommel simply decorated with a wreath of oak branches at the crown and a beaded ribbon at the bottom. Three gilt bronze mounts. Scabbard opening in relief following the shape of the pillow. Two rectangular suspension rings with raised moldings, the center of each ring decorated with a rectangular cartouche with a sandblasted background. Long chape decorated at the top with four lines and at the bottom with a thick molding and gilt bronze spur. Very fine Damascus blade with a smooth cartouche and inscriptions. See photos.
