First Empire inspector's review sword in silvered brass, according to the regulations of 1 Vendémiaire, Year XII. The pommel is olive-shaped, obliquely striated at the top, with a leaf wreath at its base. The pommel features a lion's head, grooved except for its central section, which is chased with foliage and a small laurel wreath. The quillon is straight in the antique style, rounded at the ends, with two laurel branches on the knuckle guard. The grip is filigreed, combining twisted and simple wires. The guard has two openwork ridges, each decorated with a garland of oak branches. The triangular blade has a central ridge, is engraved, gilded, and blued for one-third of its length. No scabbard.
