Round Wall Mirror In Blue Stoneware, La Borne Catido, Floral Decoration, 1960 - Damaged

Charming glazed stoneware wall mirror signed Catido on the reverse, the signature of the ceramist Dominique Dupont. A vintage handcrafted piece from the 1960s, round and framed by a wide stoneware border with beautiful shades of deep blue glaze mixed with greens, burgundy brown, and black, typical of the high-temperature firings characteristic of the La Borne workshops. The top of the frame is adorned with a hand-modeled applied decoration depicting a bouquet of roses and stylized foliage. Diameter 28cm, thickness 3.3cm. Good overall condition. Note three major chips on three of the leaves at the far right of the floral motif, as well as a small, discreet chip on a small leaf in that area. Other minor imperfections are possible on the floral decoration but are barely noticeable. The three chips are not detrimental; the overall effect remains harmonious. A few small, rare, and discreet marks and scratches on the mirror. Approximately 1kg.
