Pair Of Vintage Murano 20th-century Smoked Glass Vases Lined With Opaline Glass, Soap Bubble Design
A pair of magnificent vintage designer vases, dating from the 1980s-2000s, mouth-blown, containing a few bubbles, from Murano, Italy, unsigned, in the style of Fratelli Toso. The opaline glass, with its bluish soap bubble effect, is lined with smoked glass (inside), creating a beautiful and superb transparency. The vases feature twisted stripes and subtle variations in transparency, resulting in a stunning effect in sunlight. The smaller vase is 29cm high, approximately 12cm in maximum diameter, with a 2.5cm neck diameter. It is in very good overall condition, with a few very discreet signs of age such as small superficial scratches and a few small manufacturing inclusions in the glass. No cracks or chips. Approximately 1.410kg. The larger vase is 41cm high, approximately 16cm in maximum diameter, with a 4cm neck diameter. It is also in very good overall condition, with a small, discreetly broken bubble on one side at the bottom, and a few other very discreet signs of age such as small superficial scratches. No cracks or chips. Approximately 1.800 kg.
