Stucco Statuette Of Our Lady Of Mount Carmel, Olot Workshops, Glass Eyes, 1920-1930

Rare and very beautiful polychrome wood and stucco religious statuette, very finely hand-painted, from the 1920s-1930s, representing Our Lady of Mount Carmel carrying the Infant Jesus, Catalan manufacture, produced by the Olot workshops, illegible but very recognizable stamp on the back, period and attribution consistent with the aesthetics, the stucco molding technique, very expressive glass/sulfide eyes. Good size, 33cm high, 13-14cm wide, 10cm maximum depth. Very good overall condition, no visible flaws, selective paint retouching, and a hand-restored left hand holding the cord: two fingers were recreated before being reattached to the wrist and then repainted. The work is clean and very discreet. The rest is in superb condition. There are a few rare and very discreet imperfections due to its age, such as yellowing of the colors on the unretouched areas, halos and glories on the back of the missing heads, filled holes, and a small, very discreet repair on the back of the crown. A fine, highly decorative piece. Approximately 500 g.
