Condition: very good for its age, with minimal signs of use.

Flower bowl “Isis”, model no. 572, with the OSIRIS trademark. The object consists of a gilt pewter mounting with a coloured glass insert.

The gilded pewter frame stands on four curved feet terminating in leaf forms. The lower third of the vessel is shaped by a strongly flowing, organic line decoration that merges seamlessly into the widely rising, pierced handles. The handles ascend in two elegant, opposing curves and are simultaneously connected to the pewter mounting at the rim. The rim ring itself is smooth and clearly defines the vessel’s opening. The entire pewter mounting is gilded and displays the fluid organic design typical of Nuremberg Art Nouveau, without historicist ornament.

The deeply rounded glass insert is made of green glass with a violet-red overlay and has been acid-etched. The decoration shows irregular, cloud-like and streaked areas in dark red to burgundy that stand out against a matte light green ground. The etching process creates differentiated surfaces with varying transparency.

Condition: very good. The gilding of the pewter mounting is evenly preserved. The glass insert without damage.
