Pair Of Patinated Terracotta Vases – Art Nouveau Style – Circa 1900
An elegant pair of terracotta vases, featuring a beautiful dark brown-black patina with antique hues.
Baluster-shaped, they feature a generously proportioned body adorned with vertical fluting, resting on a circular pedestal decorated with a frieze of gadroons.
The upper section, particularly original, is enlivened by two large circular openings forming handles and a neck with supple, flowing lines.
The highly stylized design fully evokes the Art Nouveau aesthetic of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
They make a beautiful decorative statement and display an interesting symmetry when displayed as a pair.
