The figure is enlivened by a delicate garland of roses arranged across her bodice and echoed in her high, powdered hairstyle, known as a "pouf." These flowers, rendered with a free and luminous touch, bring freshness and vibrancy to the composition while remaining true to the gallant style of the 18th century. The finely modeled flesh tones feature subtly rosy cheeks and a fair complexion, which is further emphasized by the subtly modulated brown-green background, isolating the figure and accentuating her presence. The high, structured hairstyle, adorned with rosebuds and long side curls, reflects the fashions prevalent in the 1770s under the influence of leading Parisian hairdressers. This hairstyle is an emblematic stylistic marker of the early years of Louis XVI's reign.
