Louis XVI Pedestal Table, 19th Century
Louis XVI style oval marquetry side table, 19th century. This elegant oval side table rests on four tapered legs ending in brass sabots. The curved apron opens with a discreet drawer adorned with a circular bronze escutcheon. The top is decorated with a central marquetry checkerboard pattern, framed by a precious wood veneer arranged in a butterfly wing pattern, and bordered by a finely chased openwork brass gallery. A refined piece with clean, balanced lines, ideal as in an end table, side table, or small game table. In very good overall condition. The top measures 41 cm x 31 cm and the height is 74 cm.
