"Mailfert Side Table"
Square-shaped cherry wood side table in the Directoire style, it opens on the front with a drawer with a knob and rosette. The top is covered in Havana leather gilded with irons, the edge is highlighted by a brass rod. The drawers and all the faces are decorated with brass rods. The four covered legs are joined by a crotch shelf. Note: a slight lifting of the leather visible in the photographs. This four-sided table of good quality bears the stamp marked with the iron of the salamander, mark of the cabinetmaker André Mailfert (1884-1943). Space between the drawer and the shelf: 36 cm.
