Louis XVI Pedestal Table With Bamboo Stems, 1880
Louis XVI Style Pedestal Table, Based on a Model by WEISWEILLER. The upper part consists of a circular top surrounded by a gilt bronze gallery, with a porcelain plaque in the center decorated with a bouquet of roses. The 3 uprights have double columns imitating bamboo stems. They are connected by a triangular mahogany spacer with concave sides decorated with double gilt bronze threads. The entire composition rests on 3 saber legs, decorated with scrapers and foliage in chiseled and gilt bronze. Our pedestal table measures 76 cm in height. The upper top has a diameter of 36 cm. It is in very good condition.
