18th-century Mezzotint Engraving After Jacob Gole (1660-1737), Portrait Of A Young Girl, Diana
Artist: D'après Jacob Gole (1660-1737)
A very fine 18th-century mezzotint engraving by Jacob Gole (1660-1737), after Brauwer, Van Ostade, and Teniers, entitled "A Lady of Quality in the Costume of Diana." We can admire the details of the hairstyle, the care taken with the dress, characteristic of this period, and the delicate features of the young woman. Some yellowing of the paper is regrettable but not distracting. It is presented in an antique frame with some imperfections. Frame dimensions: 32.5 x 25.2 cm. The whole piece is very decorative!
