"Greyhound In Full Stride - Plaster Cast"
Plaster sculpture depicting a greyhound frozen in the precise motion of a run. Its slender body is stretched to its limit, with its forelegs extended forward and hind legs fully extended, creating a striking impression of speed and lightness. The dog's fine, sinewy anatomy is subtly rendered: the muscles of the shoulders and thighs, and the tucked-up belly, appear realistically beneath the smooth plaster surface.
The greyhound is held by a discreet support fixed to a rectangular base, reinforcing the effect of suspension, as if it were floating mid-leap.
Plaster cast preserving the seams of the mold with good hollowness, probably made in the late 19th or very early 20th century.
Unsigned.
There is a small crack in the tail and some dust, but overall it is in good condition.
