Note: Built in the 17th century, the Soleil Royal was one of the largest and most prestigious warships of its time. Equipped with 104 cannons distributed across three decks, it served as Admiral Tourville's flagship in the French Royal Navy. A symbol of Louis XIV's power, this Baroque ship was distinguished as much by its firepower as by its decorative richness. Its name and ornamentation reflected the king's emblem—the Sun—thus affirming the grandeur and influence of the French monarchy on the seas.
