Pair Of Miniatures – Floral Compositions – Monogrammed

This elegant pair of miniatures presents two delicate floral compositions, both monogrammed "RL" in the lower right corner. Each work is set in a circular, gilt-metal frame with guilloché decoration, which perfectly highlights the finesse of the painting.

First miniature: A woven basket overflows with a generous country bouquet. White and pale pink roses mingle with small blue flowers (forget-me-nots), delicate white blossoms, and touches of orange. All are arranged against a nuanced gray-blue background, creating a soft and romantic atmosphere. Two fallen petals at the foot of the basket add a touch of naturalness to the composition.

Second miniature: A more ethereal arrangement features roses in shades of white and pink, accompanied by yellow-orange flowers and bouquets of small gray blossoms with orange centers. The gradually darkening olive-green background lends this composition remarkable depth and highlights the luminosity of the flowers.

Both works demonstrate a clear technical mastery in the treatment of petals, color nuances, and the interplay of light and shadow. They form a harmonious whole, typical of the art of floral miniature painting.

The works are in very good condition. They are both presented in molded, varnished wooden frames, also in very good condition. The first is slightly smaller than the second (1 cm less).
