"Art Nouveau Vase In Longwy Earthenware."
This large, dark purple vase is made of Longwy earthenware. Dating from the 1900s, it is decorated around the rim with incised floral motifs on the body, and on each side, at the shoulder, is an applied small bat. The neck is decorated with a torus molding featuring a frieze of small flowers. It is marked in relief on the underside: LONGWY 1084. There are a few minor chips on the base. Circa 1900. Height 35 cm.
