"Louis XIV Table In Walnut."
This beautiful Louis XIV writing table is made of walnut, it opens with a drawer in the belt, it rests on four turned legs ending in slightly flattened balls, they are connected to each other by a flat and sinuous X-shaped spacer. The color of its walnut is warm, its wood chosen most certainly with great care by the carpenter who made it is of quality, this has allowed this table to age well and to reach us in an excellent state of conservation. Some small restorations are to be noted and the top which had become hollow has been straightened, the spacer in the center must have supported a spinning top which has disappeared. Period late 17th or early 18th century. Dimensions: Top 97 cm x 63 cm, height 72 cm.
