A large and substantial tripod ewer in solid silver with a side handle. The lid is bordered with a frieze of palmettes, and its knob features a row of small gadroons. The spout is decorated with fluting. The handle is made of ebony. Hallmarked with the Paris hallmark, first rooster (1798-1809), maker's mark Jean-Baptiste Simon Lefranc: inscription 1798-1799. Weight 1020 g, height 28.5 cm. In perfect condition.
