Jam Maker, Orléans 18th Century.

This Venice-style jam maker is made of translucent and colorless glass, it is blown in a gadrooned mold, it rests on a small added heel and the edge is decorated with three threads, the button is spiraloid in shape. This compote or jam maker was produced in the Orleans region during the first half of the 18th century. In perfect condition, this glassware is as much an object of art as a moving testimony to the past. Equivalent examples are kept in various museums, National Museum of Sèvres Ceramics, Museum of Decorative Arts in Lyon, Museum of Le Havre. Dimensions: diameter 17 cm, height 10.5 cm
