Pair Of Candlesticks, Regency Style.
These Regency-style candlesticks are made of silvered bronze. They rest on a wide, contoured base composed of a quarter-round molding, a cyma recta, and several steps. The stem, supported by a prominent central boss, is three-sided and baluster-shaped, chased with a shell motif at its base. The candle holders have six straight ribs and are topped with a drip pan. The silvering is worn on the raised areas, creating a beautiful golden sheen. The superb patina reflects the light and sparkles, brightening and embellishing the interior. A hallmark depicting a bell, flanked by the initials A and M, is present on the base. Regency style. 20th century. Height 26 cm.
