Chinese Porcelain Vase, 19th Century.
This large vase, made ofblue porcelain on a white background, features a decorative band runningall the way around the body, depicting horsemen fighting and chasing each other against alandscape background. The top of the neck is adorned with a floral frieze,a motif repeated on the lid, which is crowned with a Fô dog. Wetook a photo of the vase alongside two plates,each with a diameter of 21 cm, to give an idea of thevery large size of the object. The vase is in perfect condition;however, the Fô dog on the lid was broken and reattached,a repair that was done very neatly and is virtually invisible.
