Mother-of-pearl And Gold Medal.
This mother-of-pearl medallion is set and framed by a small solid gold molding. Octagonal in shape, it is adorned at each corner with a small row of four pearls and the mother-of-pearl is engraved with a profile of the Virgin Mary wearing a veil and haloed. The bail is held by a pretty little clip at the top of the medallion, it is stamped with an eagle's head, gold control hallmark. Period 1930 -1940. Dimensions: height with bail 2.6 cm, width 15 mm. Weight 1.7 grams.
