Nevers Earthenware Dish, XVIIth Century.

This beautiful deep dish is made of Nevers earthenware, oval in shape and rests on a heel. The rim is serrated and it is adorned on the wing with gadroons in the manner of Savona. In its center under a Greek cross, drawn in blue on the white background, is the inscription ISH for Jesus. It is an offering dish also called a quest dish. Chips and small enamel swings. 17th century period. Dimensions, length 31.3 cm, width 25.4 cm, height 4.5 cm
