Earthenware Inkwell - Late 18th, Early 19th Century

Early 19th-century earthenware inkwell. Polychrome high-fire earthenware with three pen holes. The original pewter inkwell is attached. Decorated with a garland that encircles the inside. Sponge-painted top. Manufacturer unknown. Restored on the back (see photos). One crack remains. Note a loss of glaze on the left side due to poor glazing during production. Width 12 cm
