The octagonal base is adorned with a gilt bronze bas-relief of peacocks drinking from a fountain. Each side is decorated with a star.
The movement is housed in an octagonal base flanked on each side by a half-column adorned with a cascade of porcelain flowers and surmounted by a gilt bronze vase containing a conical bouquet of flowers.
The clock is surmounted by a spinner seated on a fountain with a lion's head.
The movement, with an 8-day power reserve, features a wire suspension. It strikes the hours and half-hours. White enamel dial, blued steel Breguet hands. The clock features its original globe with a gilt base, with four notches housing the4 feet of the clock for stabilization.
