Straw Sewing Box - Folk Art - 19th Century
Casket entirely made of straw, decorated with finely woven straw forming various motifs.
One side is adorned with the monogram A.H.
The interior is lined with blue fabric, showing significant wear and damage due to the passage of time.
A fine example of straw work, illustrating a high level of technical skill and artisanal precision.
The straw decoration is overall in very good condition, with the exception of a minor loss affecting the petals of one of the two flowers.
