Hugot: Rare Solid Silver Stewing Spoon With Coat Of Arms Perpignan 1776-77
Artist: Joseph Hugot
A rare Louis XV period solid silver stew spoon, plain and flat, with a bowl engraved with a coat of arms surmounted by a Count's crown. It bears the Perpignan hallmark (a crowned Q), the Perpignan town hall mark for 1776-77 (the date letter "X" in relief), and the maker's mark of Joseph Hugo, who was admitted to work in Perpignan in 1765. This stew spoon, from the rare Perpignan workshop, features a beautiful period coat of arms, is in very good condition, well hallmarked, with minor scratches from use. For the discerning collector...
