Set Of Three Antique Lacquered And Decorated Doors, Tyrolean Folk Art
Refined set of three antique lacquered and decorated doors, an authentic expression of Tyrolean folk art, originating from the Alpine region.Made of solid wood, the doors feature a sturdy and well-proportioned structure, complete with original wrought-iron hardware — locks, bolts and handles — attributable to an early production, predating the currently visible decorative work. The green lacquer and the painted decoration appear to be the result of later interventions, likely carried out or refreshed during the early decades of the 20th century, in keeping with Alpine decorative traditions. The doors are decorated on both sides:– on one side, the upper panels depict rural scenes with figures connected to agricultural life, while the lower panels feature floral compositions;– on the opposite side, they are decorated with two floral panels, set within moulded frames painted with scrolls and foliate motifs.Although belonging to the same ensemble, the three doors display slight iconographic and decorative variations, highlighting their handcrafted nature and non-serial production. The surfaces retain a patina consistent with age and use, with signs of wear appropriate to their history and function.Ideal for architectural restoration projects, historic interiors or character-rich spaces, these doors represent a significant example of the material and decorative culture of the Alpine regions.Dimensions of each door:Height 190 cm – Width 90 cmFor further information, photographs or technical details, please do not hesitate to contact us.
