This elegant pair of Art Nouveau serving pieces comes from the renowned Franz Bahner AG silversmiths in Düsseldorf.
The “Tulip” motif, model no. 2900, created around 1900, features the flowing lines characteristic of the style with whipped curves combined with the floral forms of Jugendstil.
The two pieces – usable as salad servers, cream spoons, vegetable spoons, or crab spoons – are made of 800 silver.
A comparable example is held in the Dresden State Art Collections.
Manufacturer: Franz Bahner AG, silversmiths, Düsseldorf, Germany.
Silver 800 (hallmarked). Dimensions: Length: 18.3 cm.
