Artist: Gundorph Albertus
Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Cocktail Shaker "Cactus" No. 572 A

Large sterling silver cocktail shaker, model 572 A, from the Cactus pattern designed by Gundorph Albertus in 1929.

Produced by Georg Jensen Silversmiths, Copenhagen, circa 1950.

Sterling silver (925).

The shaker bears the engraved presentation inscription

"Unserem lieben Rugeli zum 50. Geburtstag – 11. November 1957"

together with the engraved signatures of members of Grasshopper Club Zürich and the club crest highlighted in gold.

Founded in 1886, Grasshopper Club Zürich is Switzerland's most successful football club with 27 Swiss Championship titles and 19 Swiss Cup victories. This exceptional piece combines one of Georg Jensen's most iconic hollowware designs with an authentic and highly unusual document of Swiss football history.
