Elegant figure of an Arab with bagpipes, from the famous Wedding Procession created by Amberg for the wedding of German Crown Prince Friedrich Wilhelm and Cecilie of Mecklenburg-Schwerin.
The entire procession comprises twenty figures (including two double figures), two candelabras, a jardinière, and three round stemmed bowls. Made by the Royal Porcelain Manufactory of Berlin (KPM) in the first quarter of the 20th century, with underglaze polychromy and gold highlights on the base.
Marks: scepter, red imperial apple, painter's marks, model number 9614, and the inscription “AMBERG” on the base.
Model registered between October 1908 and October 1910.
Height: approx. 29 cm Condition: Very good; first choice; low base decorated with gilding.
