Brigadier General's Aide-de-Camp Armband, Second Empire. 30377. Made of gold thread and blue silk mesh with four solid gold bands and three mixed silk and gold bands. Width 3.7 cm, forming a knot at the front with two tassels featuring large twists known as "spinach seeds." Tassel height 8 cm. It is lined with black velvet; the two ends fasten together with three iron ring hooks. Length 31 cm. France. Second Empire. Very good condition, slight oxidation from use.
