Charming portrait of a young woman living in the first half of the 19th century. Our elegant lady wears a pretty, light white dress, accentuated by a high-waisted red and black silk belt, typical of the Restoration-Louis Philippe period. The young woman's gaze is filled with tenderness. Our oil on canvas is sold with a giltwood frame. It is in good condition, with some minor repainting of the gilding. Our oil on canvas has been restored and relined. This magnificent and graceful portrait is a very fine example of the French School from the first half of the 19th century.
